Why
The Sullivan County members of Communities Against Regional Interconnect (CARI) held a telecommunications broadcast on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 7:00 pm in which Sullivan County Legislature and CARI Chairman Chris Cunningham and Sullivan County Planning Commissioner Dr. William Pammer offered an overview of NYRI's proposed high-voltage power line project; outlined potential environmental, economic, agricultural and social impacts; the Eminent Domain/ Right-of-Way portion of NYRI's application; and measures residents can take to become involved in the fight to defeat it.
